Book recommendation: Awareness, by Anthony De Mello.
In his book, Awareness, De Mello explains quite clearly what ‘Awareness’ is all about. He believes it is something that you would need to experience by yourself: by stopping and seeing surroundings all around you. To truly stop and evaluate everything around you. The main idea is to get rid of all attachments and influences, and to truly experience the truth about life – to get another perspective on what we really are. ‘When you are ready to lose your life, you live it’, he explains. When you become ‘free of all the attachments’ – that is when you are truly free and will be able to experience the life within. Great book, but you will need to have some quality time to re-evaluate and to understand the thoughts written by De Mello.
